British Airways to go all premium
If you fly a lot between continental Europe and the US, then there is a good chance that you fly with British Airways. The company wants to switch all of its flights between the United States and Europe to premium flights. This has to do with the increasing demand for premium flights and business flights that are crossing the Atlantic. More and more companies are looking for flights that cater more to their needs instead of the needs of “everyday” passengers.
Although British Airways has not yet worked out all of the details on this new movement, they do have a few things that they want to work towards. For example, they are hoping to make flights consist of only premium economy seats and, of course, business class seats. Most of these flights are more than likely going to connect a lot of business cities in Europe to New York in the United States. To offer these new flights, British Airways is planning on refurbishing some of the 757 planes or the 767 planes.
Of course, if British Airways plans on launching this new venture, this is going to put them head to head against some other big name carriers. In fact, they will be up against Lufthansa and Air France, which already offer such services. This could be a problem for British Airways, since this is going to really represent their very first attempt to operate “long-haul flights” out of foreign territory. Until more information is given out about the business plan, all we can do is watch and wait.
