If you’re a few miles short in reaching the free upgrade, you can purchase those miles in order to gain that upgrade.

You’ll even have a better chance of gaining premium flights if you use a credit card issued by an airline company. As store credit cards provide you discount when you purchase products from the same store, you’ll also earn rewards every time your purchase airline tickets with the same credit card they issued. The rewards are not only limited to free upgrades – when you reach a certain mileage, you can be qualified for a free flight or even hotel accommodation.

If you’re a frequent flyer, select a credit card that has tie-ups with an airline that you usually fly with. Aside from ease of transaction, you’ll gain rewards aside from premium seats.
