Premium flights with more room

Airlines are looking for any possibility to get their revenue streams back up to par with what they were a few years ago. One thing that they are looking at doing is putting in premium economy seats for passengers that are willing to buy them. Of course, premium flights are things that most airlines already offer, so what is different? Well, these new premium flights that many airlines are going to start offering, not only offer more legroom, but a chance for you to save some money as well.

The first thing that you should note is that many airlines are now doing major overhauls on their aircrafts. They are pulling out some seats so that the seats can be increased in size. They are talking about making some seats 5 to 8 inches longer in pitch. If you are not sure what that means, it’s the distance between the seat back to the seat behind it.

They also want to make the seats about 4 inches wider than coach as well. Many other airlines are also talking about providing better food and even wine! For those of you that do not like noise, then premium flights are going to be perfect for you. That is because your seats will come with noise cancelling headphones. Last, but not least, you could also get priority boarding, depending on the airline you fly with.

Most of the premium flights are going to range between $50 to $2,000 for a round trip. For example, a round trip form London to New York could cost $170. Premium flights would cost about $619, and first class seats can be as much as $2,178. Thus, you can see the big price difference.

There are many airlines around the world that are going to be offering these new services soon. Some of the big ones are Japan Airlines, Virgin America, and JetBlue. However, they think that other places, like Virgin Atlantic and Qantas, will soon follow.
