Premium economy flights in Asia
Premium economy is basically an upgraded economy reservation. But its interpretation is different according to each airline. Asia-based airlines offer different perks when you opt to travel with premium economy.
China Airlines
China Airlines offers relatively limited advantages for their travellers in premium economy. Aside from better legroom compared to economy, China Airlines offers improved luggage service and the ability to select seats. Entertainment is basically on newspapers and magazines with a few wines added in their beverages.
JAL (Japan Airlines)
Japan Airlines offer better relaxation while travelling. Personalized entertainment on video and music as well as optional slippers for a more relaxing travel is available for premium economy. An AC power source is available for those who wanted to work on their laptops while travelling. Executive lounge and exclusive check-in counter is also available for premium economy customers.
Thai Airways
Thai Airways offers a remarkable 42” pitch – better than most airlines which are usually at 38”. This is coupled with better angle for those who wanted to sleep. Leg rests as well as wider arm rests are also featured in premium economy. An optional power source is also available for laptops and other electronic devices.
All Nippon Airways (ANA)
ANA also features better seat pitch as it is measured at 50 inches. The seats are even wider as most aircraft configuration has only enough space for two passengers on each side. Like most airlines, they also offer power source for different electronic gadgets.
